Narrative Description of the Project:
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is working to improve the livelihoods of the refugees and host communities in the selected areas of Ukhiya and Kutupalong Camps with other DRC sectoral interventions like protection, shelter, and site development supports. DRC aims to enhance the lives of both the host community and refugees in Ukhiya and Kutupalong Camps. This training in tailoring is designed to empower women from the host community and the camps, enabling them to contribute to their families' income and build their self-assurance. The training's main objective is to assist women in the host community and the camps in boosting their family's income or maintaining their families. IPTM was conducted this assignment with covered for two months, from July to August 2022, and the training occurred in Cox's Bazar. The 20 participants at camp-5 in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar, received a 5-day practical training to develop their tailoring abilities in 01 (one) batch.
Key Activities:
• The inception meeting with DRC officials and submitted the inception report.
• Reviewed the relevant documents of the project
• Prepared Training Needs Assessment (TNA) tools
• Conducted Training Needs Assessment (TNA)
• Developed the training module on tailoring for 5 days (English and Bengali) addressing details of methodology
• Conducted training on tailoring for (1 batch) (including ladies' kameez, Salwar, Borkha, Frock for baby, long frock, blouse, petticoat, different types of masks, Local Rohingya dresses,, etc.)
• Submitted final report of the training
