Narrative Description of the Project:
This assignment was undertaken by Skills 21 - Empowering Citizens for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth Project, International Labour Organization (ILO) funded by the European Union (EU) & Government of Canada. This project is intended as a catalyst towards realizing a quality, private-sector driven, inclusive, and sustainable training system for Bangladesh to increase productivity and environment-friendly employment opportunities in the labor market. UNder this project, IPTM was awarded an assignment to providing training for 100 trainers in 2 divisions of Bangladesh from September 2022 to May 2023 in, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The participants received that training to use the e-course to facilitate training to the trainees in the institutions. The main objective of this assignment was to develop an e-learning course for skills qualifications to cover the training program for Graphic Design and Care Giving (Level-2) following Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) approved competency standards and Competency-Based Learning Materials for ILO.
Key Activities:
- Analysed the current situation in terms of target learners, existing qualification documents, availability and limitations of resources, access to technology, knowledge gaps, etc.
- Organized content development workshops/meetings with BTEB, subject matter specialists, and relevant trainers for the selection of the learning modality.
- Designed the e-learning course by developing the blueprint and the instructional design for each Unit of Competency (UoC), and establishing what and how to translate learning segments in videos, tutorials, screencasts, interactive modules, quizzes, etc.
- Developed digital content that is interactive in order to facilitate the learners to achieve specific learning outcomes.
- Developed the two full packages of e-learning courses for the mentioned occupations and made those available in the Learning Management System (LMS/E-Campus) learning.
- Field tests the e-learning courses with learners and install the e-learning materials on the LMS to make them accessible to learners.
- Provided training to 100 trainers in 2 divisions of Bangladesh to use the e-course to facilitate training to the trainees in the institutions.
- Conducted follow-up workshop
- Prepared & printed 1000 pcs basic manual on the e-courses outlining contents & learning outcome
- Evaluated the usage and presentation of e-learning materials.
- Supplied the manual and final version of a soft copy of all e-materials
