Narrative Description of the Project:
The assignment was carried out by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Medical Education and Family Welfare Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It was funded by the Government of Bangladesh (GoB). The duration of the assignment was 05 (five) months (February 2023 to June 2023) and the research area was Dhaka, Bangladesh. The primary objective of the assignment was to identify the challenges of the existing medical curriculum in Bangladesh that Bangladesh faces in implementing its medical curriculum, particularly with regard to the new postgraduate curriculum. In order to identify the challenges with the current postgraduate medical curriculum and develop recommendations for improving the course material in postgraduate medical education, IPTM conducted research in Dhaka. The data was collected from a total of 260 respondents (post-graduate medical students, post-graduate admission candidates, and post-graduate doctors) via a field survey, KII, and FGDs.

- Submitted the interim report
- Prepared a draft report based on survey data
- Incorporated feedback into the draft report
- Submitted the final research report
- Presented and disseminated the final report at a national seminar and workshop
