Narrative Description of the Project:
This assignment is undertaken by Combatting Gender-Based Violence Project (CGBVP) in Bangladesh under UN Women funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Government of Canada from June to October 2023 in Bogura, Cumilla, and Patuakhali districts of Bangladesh and in this assignment the total sample size was 2804. The project focuses on primary prevention, stopping violence before it occurs, as it is a strategic approach to ending violence against women and girls. The main objective of the assignment is to conduct an end-line survey for the CGBV project in Bangladesh. The survey aims to assess the achievement of results and measure changes based on the project’s theory of change (TOC) and results framework. This primarily involves measuring if and to what extent the project contributed to a change in reporting on VAW in the intervention village vis-à-vis the control villages, as well as to positive changes in views of community women and men on VAW, increase in VAW reporting.

Key Activities:
· Developed endline survey methodology (Overview of methodology, data collection, and analysis plan in align with the baseline survey)
· Informed the development of the methodology (review the CGBV Theory of Change, results framework, M&E Plan, donor’s performance management framework, and other relevant project documents)
· Conducted preliminary consultation meetings and interviews with project staff and partners working with UN Women Bangladesh.
· Designed the endline survey sampling (defining the sample sizes for both control and intervention villages, sampling methodology)
· Reviewed and adapted baseline survey questionnaire to develop, test, and finalize endline survey questionnaire in consultation with UN Women Bangladesh project team and Planning, Monitoring, and Reporting Analyst of UN Women BCO,
· Trained survey enumerators to administer the endline survey
· Conducted endline survey through KII, Field Survey, Observation and analyzed all results, and submitted the draft report
· Final report submitted with incorporated feedback from UN Women team, and
· Prepared a PowerPoint presentation with the top-line results and impact of the project.
