Narrative Description of the Project:

The City Governance Project (CGP), under Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives was determined to make waste free Bangladesh. They tried to ensure proper solid waste management system in Bangladesh. But lack of proper practical knowledge and experience they could not able to do. Then they decided to take training as well as practical exposer from the relevant government officials from a developing country on ‘Solid Waste Management’ so that, they replicate and implement it in the context of Bangladesh. In this regard IPTM organized and implemented this Overseas Training/Certificate Course/Study Tour on ‘Solid Waste Management’ in Vietnam from October 2018 to February 2019. A total of 05 (five) participants attended this program.          

Key Activities:

• Design, development and delivery of the briefing session 
• Collection of Government Order (G.O.) and Note Verbal
• Identification of program objectives
• Assistance for Passport renewal or issue, visa processing and Air-ticket
• Health and travel insurance assistance
• Pre-departure formalities 
• Airport Coordination and accommodation arrangement
• Arranged Welfare guide & translator and land surface transport in Vietnam.
• Arranged refreshment, working lunch with welcome and closing dinner
• Orientation to the course / program in Vietnam.
• Arrangement of expert-led lecture session in Vietnam.  
• Arrangement of classroom-based training session in Vietnam.  
• Arrangement of the appointments, meetings and field visit with relevant officials
• Sightseeing and cultural tours
• Monitoring and evaluation of the program
• Program report development and delivery
