Narrative Description of the Project:
The Coastal Towns Environment Infrastructure Project (CTEIP) was determined to strengthen city resilience, solid waste management and fecal sludge management in Bangladesh, under Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives. They tried to ensure proper City Resilience, Solid Waste Management and Fecal Sludge Management system in Bangladesh. But lack of proper practical knowledge and experience they could not able to do. Then they decided to take training as well as practical exposer from the relevant government officials from a developing country on ‘City Resilience, Solid Waste Management and Fecal Sludge Management’. so that, they replicate and implement it in the context of Bangladesh. In this regard IPTM organized and implemented this International Training & Study Tour Program titled ‘City Resilience, Solid Waste Management and Fecal Sludge Management’ in Vietnam (Hanoi and Hochi Minh City) from December 2018 to January 2019. A total of 12 (twelve) participants attended this program.
