Narrative Description of the Project:
The Institute of Professional Training and Management (IPTM) orchestrated a significant Overseas Training Program in Malaysia, focusing on the critical subject of 'Rural Roads Maintenance and Management.' This initiative was undertaken by the Greater Dhaka Rural Infrastructure Improvement Project (GDRIIP), which falls under the purview of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) within the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives. The program aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals involved in the management and maintenance of rural roads, a vital aspect of infrastructure development. A total of 10 (ten) dedicated participants during April to June 2019 had the privilege of partaking in this training, equipping them with valuable insights and expertise to further contribute to the sustainable development of rural infrastructure in Bangladesh.
Key Activities:
- Design, development and delivery of the briefing session
- Collection of Government Order (G.O.) and Note Verbal
- Identification of program objectives
- Assistance for Passport renewal or issue, visa processing and Air-ticket
- Health and travel insurance assistance
- Pre-departure formalities
- Airport Coordination and accommodation arrangement
- Arranged Welfare guide & translator and land surface transport
- Arranged refreshment, working lunch with welcome and closing dinner
- Orientation to the course / program
- Arrangement of expert-led training session
- Arrangement of the appointments, meetings and field visit with relevant officials
- Sightseeing and cultural tours
- Monitoring and evaluation of the program
