Narrative Description of the Project:
The main objective of the assignment was to train personnel from RMG factories, and support them in the implementation of the RTW. IPTM did this assignment under DGUV, GIZ funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh. Under this assignment, a total of 60 participants received training in 02 (two) batches on “Development of Master Trainers on Return to Work (RTW) and Conducting Trainings to Factory Personnel” in Dhaka and Chottogram from November 2019 to June 2020. DGUV, GIZ intended to reduce the number of working days lost, reduce the costs related to work-related injury or occupational disease, increase awareness and compliance, ensure compliance issues related to national and international legislations, promote the implementation of return-to-work programs in existing HR practices in Bangladeshi (RMG & Leather) industry sector.
Under this assingment our two trainer received training on Return to Work from Germany to develop expert as a RTW course master trainers from 18th till 24th August 2019 (including arrival and departure).
Key Activities:
- Developed a training manual and handout for 03 days-long courses.
- Conducted 02 batches of RTW training at Dhaka and Chottogram for RMG and Leather Sectors 60 participants who role-playing as an RTW Coordinator
- Developed RTW Policy for selected 21 factories of RMG and Leather Sectors
- Developed and submitted a Combined Final Report on the training.
- Backstopped Supported to select all 21 factories of RMG and Leather Sector
- Prepared monitoring plan and tools
- Monitored selected all 21 factories of RMG and Leather Sector
- Submitted monitoring report
