Narrative Description of the Project:
IPTM conducted an assignment that was undertaken by the Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project-Additional Financing (UPHCSDP-AF), Project Management Unit (PMU), Local Government Division (LGD), Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives, with funding from GoB grants and Asian Development Bank (ADB) loan. UPHCSDP-AF's main goal is to ensure quality and equitable health care for all urban populations in Bangladesh by improving access to and utilization of health, family planning, and nutrition services.
The assignment aims to facilitate participant’s learning about water conservation, energy, and medical waste management systems including hazardous waste to meet national standards in health facilities and raise awareness. The duration of this assignment was 07 (seven) months (December 2021 to June 2022) and the location of this assignment was in Dhaka, Chittagong. Khulna and Rajshahi. IPTM organized a capacity-building program on Water and Energy Conservation and Medical Waste Management that covered 43 PAs in 24 ULBs of Bangladesh and In-Country training for UPHCSDP-AF, LGD. Under this assignment, a total of 280 participants received training in 07 (seven) batches.

- The initial meeting with UPHCSDP-AF officials and submitted the inception report.

- Training organized and conducted 03 days long 07 batches training on ‘Water & Energy Conservation and Medical Waste Management
