Narrative Description of the Project:
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is implementing livelihood projects aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of both host and refugee populations in specific areas in Ukhiya. The focus is on introducing livelihood interventions, including lattice production, to improve shelter structures and generate employment opportunities, particularly for Rohingya women in Camp-7 and Camp-8. Under this project IPTM conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) course for 40 selected Rohingya men and women, equipping them with lattice production skills and innovative techniques. The trained facilitators trained Rohingya CFW volunteers in lattice production with the support of DRC's community volunteers and staff. The main objective of the assignment was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of sustainable lattice production, the ability to train volunteers, lattice production techniques and safety awareness during lattice work from October to November 2021. A total of 40 Rohingya women and men received training in 02 (two) batches.
