Narrative Description of the Project:
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), has been actively engaged in addressing child marriage issues worldwide and supporting governments in their efforts to combat this violation of children's rights. In Bangladesh, UNICEF has embarked on a collaborative venture with local authorities to impart comprehensive training to key stakeholders. As a result, UNICEF has entrusted the Institute of Professional Training & Management (IPTM) to develop training modules and conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions on the Child Marriage Restraint Act 2017 and Rules 2018. To equip Child Marriage Prevention Committees, government officials, and local government representatives with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively implement the Child Marriage Restraint Act 2017 and its accompanying Rules 2018 UNICEF involved IPTM with this assignment. The main objective of the assignment was to develop a pool of master trainers on the Child Marriage Restraint Act 2017 and Rules 2018 who will cascade the training to the pertinent actors under the law at the national, district, upazila, and union levels.
