Narrative Description of the Project:
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is working to improve the livelihoods of the refugees and host communities in the selected areas of Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar with other DRC’s sectoral interventions like protection, shelter, and site development supports. DRC aims to enhance the lives of both the host community and refugees in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. This training in Pottery and Bamboo Made Handicrafts is designed to empower women from the host community and the refugee camps, enabling them to contribute to their families' income and build their self-assurance. The training's main objective is to assist women in the host community and the camps in boosting their family's income or maintaining their families. IPTM conducted this assignment with covered for two months, from November to December 2021, and the training occurred in Cox's Bazar. The 40 participants at Rajapalong/Palongkhali and Camps (Camp8E) in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar, received an 8-day practical training to develop their Pottery and Bamboo Handicraft abilities in 02 (two) batches.

- The inception meeting with DRC officials and submitted the inception report

- Prepared and finalized TNA tools
- Conducted Training Needs Assessment (TNA)
- Collected TNA data from selected field through TNA tools
- Prepared training module outline
- Developed the training module on Pottery and Bamboo Made Handicrafts for 8 days (English and Bengali) addressing details of the methodology
- Conducted training on Pottery and Bamboo Made Handicrafts for (2 batches)
- Submitted A draft training report to DRC with recommendations and lessons learned just after completion of the training.
- Submitted final report of the training
