Narrative Description of the Project:
NAAND project was determined to increase the government facilities for the special children having Autism in Bangladesh. After establishment of Autism Institute, government of Bangladesh will arrange different programs like training for the teachers and guardians having Autism students and Childs, conference, seminar, awareness raising events and spatial education for creating Autism friendly culture and environment in Bangladesh. For this goal IPTM organized and implemented this study tour Program during April to June 2016 in Kuwait under NAAND (Proposed), Establishment of Autistic Academy Project under Directorate of Secondary & Higher Education (DSHE), Ministry of Education. A total of 03 Government officials attended this program during April to June 2017. The main objectives of this assignment was to learn about latest approaches interventions strategies related to Autism Institute management and to have comparative snapshot between Kuwait and Bangladesh, to have exposure and develop k.a.s.e (knowledge, attitude, skills, efficiency) on program theme, to develop specific and specialized knowledge and practical application thereof on ‘Autism Institute establishment and management’ which are relevant and appropriate for the Bangladesh context.
