Study Tour Program titled ‘To gather up-to-date Knowledge on Global Standard Veterinary Education from Developed Countries’ in New York, USA under Department of Livestock Service (DLS)

Narrative Description of the Project:

The Establishment of Sirajganj Government Veterinary College Project, under the Department of Livestock Service (DLS), initiated efforts to enhance the knowledge of global-standard veterinary education in Bangladesh by drawing insights from developed countries. In pursuit of this objective, the Establishment of Sirajganj Government Veterinary College Project assign IPTM with the responsibility of coordinating a program in the USA for 09 (nine) government officials associated with the project.

To achieve the project's objectives, IPTM successfully organized and executed a study tour program titled 'Gathering Up-to-Date Knowledge on Global Standard Veterinary Education from Developed Countries.' This program conducted from October to December 2016 in the USA, with comprehensive logistical support provided by the Department of Livestock Services (DLS), Ministry of Fisheries & Livestock.

  • Identification of program objectives
  • Assistance for Passport renewal or issue, visa processing and Air-ticket
  • Health and travel insurance assistance
  • Pre-departure formalities 
  • Airport Coordination and accommodation arrangement
  • Arranged Welfare guide & translator and land surface transport in New York, USA
  • Arranged refreshment, working lunch with welcome and closing dinner
  • Orientation to the course / program in USA
  • Arrangement of expert-led lecture session in New York, USA 
  • Arrangement of the appointments, meetings and field visit with relevant officials
  • Sightseeing and cultural tours
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the program
  • Program report development and delivery
