Narrative Description of the Project:
The Modernization & Renovation of Bangladesh Institute of Marine Technology (2nd Phase) Project is undertaken by the Bureau of Manpower, Employment & Training (BMET), Ministry of Manpower Development, and Social Welfare. Under this project, IPTM organized a study tour program on ‘Management and Administration of the Marine Institute’ in Cairo, Egypt, for five (05) government officials from June to September 2017. The core objective of this assignment was to develop capacity of government officials and gather knowledge related to the management and administration system of the Marine Institute in the context of Egypt, and that system was applied in the Bangladesh Marine Institute to get a better or more efficient management system.

- Collection of Government Order (G.O.) and Note Verbal
- Identification of program objectives
- Assistance for Passport renewal or issue, visa processing and Air-ticket
- Health and travel insurance assistance
- Pre-departure formalities
- Airport Coordination and accommodation arrangement
- Arranged Welfare guide & translator and land surface transport
- Arranged refreshment, working lunch with welcome and closing dinner
- Orientation to the course / program
- Arrangement of expert-led lecture session
- Arrangement of the appointments, meetings and field visit with relevant officials
- Sightseeing and cultural tours
- Monitoring and evaluation of the program
- Program report development and submitted at the project
