Training Program on ‘Skills Development for Instructors of BMET' in Malaysia under Bureau of Manpower, Employment & Training (BMET)

Narrative Description of the Project:

The Modernization & Renovation of Bangladesh Institute of Marine Technology (2nd Phase) Project is undertaken by the Bureau of Manpower, Employment & Training (BMET), Ministry of Manpower Development, and Social Welfare. Under this project, IPTM conducted a training program on ‘Skills Development for Instructors of BIMT’ in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for six (06) government officials from June to September 2017. The main objective of this assignment was to develop skills for instructors and Bangladesh Institute Marine Technology officials. Through this training program, government officials were visited in Kuala Lumpur to exchange knowledge and gather skills in the context of Malaysia, and that experience was applied in the BIMT, Bangladesh.

 

Key Activities:

  • Design, development and delivery of the briefing session 
  • Collection of Government Order (G.O.) and Note Verbal
  • Identification of program objectives
  • Assistance for Passport renewal or issue, visa processing and Air-ticket
  • Health and travel insurance assistance
  • Pre-departure formalities 
  • Airport Coordination and accommodation arrangement
  • Arranged Welfare guide & translator and land surface transport
  • Arranged refreshment, working lunch with welcome and closing dinner
  • Orientation to the course / program
  • Arrangement of classroom-based training session
  • Arrangement of the appointments, meetings and field visit with relevant officials
  • Sightseeing and cultural tours
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the program
  • Program report development and delivery
