Narrative Description of the Project:

The Human Resource Development and Capacity Building of Bangladesh Bridge Authority Project, undertaken by the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges. As part of this project, IPTM organized two batches of overseas training programs on ‘Project Planning and Management’ in Ankara, Turkey, for 16 government officials, aimed to enhancing the government official’s capacity and improving efficiency and understanding of project management planning practices. The program, which was organized from March to May 2022, the primary objective of the program was to enhance the capacity of government officials in the realm of project planning and management, specifically within the context of Turkey. This initiative sought to equip officials with advanced skills and knowledge in effective project planning, implementation, and management, drawing from Turkey's expertise in this field. Participants engaged in comprehensive training, covering various aspects such as project initiation, stakeholder engagement, risk assessment, budgeting, and performance monitoring. By gaining insights into Turkey's best practices and methodologies, these officials were better prepared to contribute to the successful execution of projects in Bangladesh, ultimately promoting efficiency and effectiveness in project planning and management processes.
