Narrative Description of the Project:
The Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA), under the Ministry of Food, is entrusted with the mission of safeguarding consumers' lives and health through the monitoring of food safety across the supply chain and the coordination of various official food control agencies. This coordination aims to ensure effective and uniform enforcement of food regulations. In pursuit of this mission, IPTM organized a knowledge-sharing program in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in March 2020, involving seven government officials. The primary objective of this initiative was to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan government officials, focusing on food safety processing systems, regulatory challenges, public awareness, and education within the context of both countries.
