Narrative Description of the Project:
The Department of Mass Communication (DMC) under the Ministry of Information is extended to the grass-roots level. The prime aim and goal of DMC is to inform, educate, and motivate the huge backward group of people living in remote areas of 68 thousand villages, particularly those who reside beyond the range of newspapers and outside radio and TV networks, about the policies of government programs and different development activities. Simultaneously, it is also the responsibility of DMC to present problems and reactions of the people to the government as feedback to create direct communication between people and government.
In 2017, IPTM was awarded an assignment under DMC, to organize an overseas training program in Sydney and Canberra, Australia, on ‘Mass Communication in Developed Countries’. The main objective of this assignment was to enhance the knowledge of digital technology, procedures, and systems of mass communication in developed countries from December 2017 to March 2018. Through this training, the government officials gained knowledge and exchanged knowledge about the updated system used in developed countries and our countries. Under this assignment, a total of 10 government officials received training, and they applied that experience in Bangladesh to get a smooth mass communication system.

- Assistance for Passport renewal or issue, visa processing and Air-ticket
- Health and travel insurance assistance
- Pre-departure formalities
- Airport Coordination and accommodation arrangement
- Arranged Welfare guide & translator and land surface transport.
- Arranged refreshment, working lunch with welcome and closing dinner.
