Narrative Description of the Project:
The European Union (EU) financed for the Skills 21 Empowering Citizens for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth Project of International Labour Organization (ILO). The aim of the project is to increase productivity and better employment opportunities for youth through institutionalizing an institutionalized, environmentally conscious, inclusive, demand-driven, and interlinked education and skills development system responding to the needs of the labour market. Under this assignment, IPTM developed a training module and conducted a training on policy review and analysis for government TVET officials at TTTC in online from May to November 2020 in Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, and Rajshahi. The main objective of the assignment was to enhance the capacity of the participants for conducting policy dialogue, policy review, and analysis. A total of 40 TVET officials attend workshop in two batches.
Key Activities:
- Develop a work plan with an inception report consisting of a draft training plan.
- Conducted a Training Needs Assessment (TNA), researched the background of the project, reviewed the training content, and reviewed the project documents.
- Developed a five-day-long English training module and handouts on "Policy Review and Analysis" for TVET officials (based on TNA, research, training content, desk review, etc.).
- Conducted online 05 days-long 02 batch training on policy review and analysis
- Submitted a comprehensive report of the training along with an annexure (hard and soft copy).
