Narrative Description of the Project:

Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) have been working closely together in developing the areas of agriculture, food, forestry, fisheries, livestock, rural development, and climate change. To achieve unprecedented development in these sectors FAO decided to send FAO- Bangladesh officials including other government officials related to the projects of FAO in Bangladesh to Australia and Thailand to enhance their thoughts, experience, and knowledge to achieve the target of FAO in Bangladesh. IPTM got the chance to organize this study tour program in Australia and Thailand (Canberra and Bangkok) under FAO. It was held from September- October 2022. A total of 13 (thirteen) participants attended this program.  

Key Activities:

• Meeting with FAO officials in Bangladesh for indetify the main objective of the study tour program  
• Collected the participants list from the selected officials 
• Assistance for Passport renewal or issue, visa processing, and air ticket
• Health and travel insurance assistance
• Pre-departure formalities 
• Airport Coordination and accommodation arrangement
• Arranged Welfare guide & translator and land surface transport in Australia and Thailand
• Arranged refreshments, working lunch with welcome and closing dinner 
• Orientation to the course/program in Australia and Thailand
• Arrangement of expert-led lecture sessions in Canberra and Bangkok, Australia, and Thailand 
• Arrangement of appointments, meetings, and field visits with relevant officials 
• Sightseeing and cultural tours
• Monitoring and evaluation of the program
• Program report development and delivery
