Narrative Description of the Project:
The Capacity Enhancement of NEC-ECNEC & Coordination Wing by introducing Digital Data Base and Archive System (2nd Revised) Project led by the Planning Division under the Ministry of Planning aims to elevate the competence and professionalism of officers involved. The assignment aim was to provide comprehensive training to enhance officers' professional knowledge related to 'Government Project Approval & Monitoring Procedure', 'Government Project Advance Planning Tools', 'Latest Advancement in Government Project Preparation and Processing', and Advance project/knowledge Management, thus contributing to the balanced economic growth of the country in 04 bathces. In line with this aim, IPTM organized four overseas training programs across multiple countries, including Italy, Switzerland, France, the UK (Scotland), Turkey, Canada, the USA, and Latin America. These programs, conducted from April 2022 to February 2023, involved 26 government officials, with each group comprising six participants. The main objective of the assignment was to facilitate the exchange of insights and practical knowledge related to project preparation, appraisal, approval, monitoring, and evaluation. This initiative also aimed to extract pertinent information for assessing project success or failure, apply standardized criteria for this determination, comprehend communication reports and progress updates throughout a project's lifecycle, and understand their applicability in the context of developed countries. And also, it focuses areas encompassed government project approval and monitoring procedures, advance planning tools, the latest advancements in government project preparation and processing, as well as advanced project and knowledge management.
